Vitamin D and Chronic Pain

A recent study from Mission Viejo, California looked at one tiny facet of this relationship by looking at the blood serum levels of vitamin D in pain patients who were getting treatment at an acute rehabilitation center.

The researchers took blood samples from 414 patients and assessed each of them for general musculoskeletal pain. The report found that people reporting musculoskeletal pain had significantly lower levels of vitamin D.
