Dr. Bogan sees a lot of folks from the Jenks area that are harmed on the job. According to the National Safety Council, the most ordinary type of work injury is musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), which involves trauma to the muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments and joints. MSDs account for more than one third of all workplace injuries.
The most routine type of MSD is a strain, which is trauma to a muscle or tendon. Strains can be caused by lifting, pushing or pulling too much weight, or by engaging in repetitive movements. Other common MSDs are carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis and back discomfort.
These injuries can be avoided by using proper lifting techniques, taking many breaks and using ergonomic devices. Employers can also help avoid injuries by providing their employees educational sources on avoiding these injuries.
Back discomfort and injuries are a common issue that Dr. Bogan sees in our #Ciyt# office and we also work with individuals who have shoulder or neck discomfort.
If you have had a work injury or accident and live in the Jenks community, give Dr. Bogan a call and make an appointment today. We will help you to create a treatment plan that will help you get relief and do our best to have you back on the job as quickly as possible!
